The Baby Bonus Scheme in a Nutshell!

We got some queries from friends and parents-to-be about the Baby Bonus Scheme in Singapore, so we at Embassy of Babies just wanted to share some information on it.

Let’s Summarize The Baby Bonus Scheme in a Nutshell!

Our Singapore Government introduced The Baby Bonus Scheme on 1 April 2001 and it was enhanced on 1 August 2004. The good news is that the latest enhancements on 17 August 2008 extended increased benefits to the first and second child and benefits to Singapore citizen children beyond the fourth child.

“All your children born on or after 17 August 2008 will also enjoy Government contributions in the form of a dollar-for-dollar matching for the amount of savings you contribute to your child’s Children Development Account (CDA). If your child is born before 17 August 2008, he or she will enjoy the Government matching contributions in the CDA if he or she is your second to fourth child.” Reference from source: https://www.babybonus.gov.sg/bbss/html/index.html

In a Nutshell, it is a cash gift of up to $4,000 each for your 1st and 2nd child and $6,000 each for your 3rd and 4th child. The point to note is that it will definitely help to lighten the financial costs of raising children for parents.

We had some feedback from overseas’ friends who shared with us that this is a great scheme and initiative from our Singapore Government and we do agree.

There you go, a Summary of The Baby Bonus Scheme in a Nutshell!

For your information, the CDA is a special savings account that you open at any OCBC Bank or Standard Chartered Bank Branch.

Another Cute Product!

If you want to dress your little girl into a sweet, cute and pretty princess, you must buy this Pettiskirt!!!

It catches people's attention everytime I bring my kid out. Simply beautiful and at the same time sweet.

The best part is that it is reversible. And in their shop, there are other cutie stuff for both babies, little girls and big girls if you can fit them on.

You can find this shop at Tampines Mall.

Uptown Kidz
Location: Tampines Mall #03-02

Shoes by Little Feet

Recently, we came across a push cart selling kids shoes and we find them very cute. Bought a pair, of course!

The thing about Little Feet is that it does not restrict itself to only pretty and comfortable shoes; they come in a nicely designed and simple shoe box that you can carry it without the need of another plastic bag upon purchasing.

What's more, in fact, they still give you a little non-woven bag too.

A search online for Little Feet will bring you to www.littlefeet.com.sg. They have a shop front at 120 Maxwell Road
Tanjong Pagar MRT Station,
#B1-37, Singapore 069119

At the website, you can see shoes, definitely! They have got shoes for both girls and boys and for babies too.... the booties are cute!

Monster Daddy!

Monster Daddy!!!

These few months, we have heard about fathers raping their own daughters; the monster daddy from Austria and Australia. Featuring in TODAY paper, I have read about this father molesting his 2 daughters which sparked me to write something about it.

I simply cannot understand why these fathers behave in this way!!! If they have a high sexual desire, they should think of other ways to relieve rather than targeting their daughter. Parents all love their children and by harming them in this way, where’s the love?

Imaging how much the young has to face and the kind of marks these monster daddies left in them. Will it ever recover? I really doubt so…… they have to carry this dark past with them for the rest of their lives!!!!

Why can’t these daddies love them as parents and give them a chance to have a normal childhood??? One word, they are just simply SELFISH!!!. They only think of their needs and simply forget about others.

They deserved and ought to be punished severely. And if there are provisions for a heavier punishment, I am always in favor of it!
